Rachel Thebeau

Rachel earned her J.D., cum laude, from the SMU Dedman School of Law and holds a B.A., cum laude, in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs from Southern Methodist University. During law school, she received recognition for her advocacy skills through moot court competitions and served in a leadership role on law review.

Conducted investigations involving allegations of executive misconduct within municipal and nonprofit organizations, analyzing findings against applicable ethics rules, governance standards, and legal requirements.

Successfully advocated on behalf of two minors in a dispute involving a competition qualification, helping secure their placement on the team through a favorable settlement.

Child Protection & Risk Management
Advises churches and faith-based organizations on child protection policies, safety procedures, and best practices to help create safer environments for children and families.

After beginning her legal career in the nonprofit sector, Rachel served domestic and international ministries focused on justice initiatives, organizational integrity, and child protection. Her work included investigations, prosecutions support, governance counseling, policy development, and crisis communications. At PNT, she combines her experience as both legal counsel and communications professional to help clients navigate investigations, litigation, governance matters, and organizational risk. Her background also supports the firm's white-collar defense and litigation practices.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, including her twelve nieces and nephews, exploring the outdoors with her yellow lab Adalena ("Addie"), and carrying on her family's deep legacy of faith.
